Yesterday was my first official day of winter break! I guess Sunday kind of was too, except it was the weekend, so everyone had it off, meaning it didn't seem like much of a vacation. :) While any day of a break from school is good, yesterday was great because I spent almost the whole day with Trina (my twin sister) who had the day off from work. We spent the morning sleeping in, then sitting on the couch, reading (for fun!) and drinking tea. We spent the afternoon doing last minute Christmas gift shopping, but we were pretty low key about the whole thing. We ended the day with coffee and a croissant (yum!) at Dunn Brothers Coffee on Grand Ave., one of my all time favorite coffee shops. It was a relaxing yet productive day, full of laughing and good conversation. I don't think winter break starts much better than that.:)
